  1. FIQH CLASS 4 LESSON 2 USOOL-E-DIN INTRODUCTION Power Point realized by a Kaniz-e-Fatima Fi Sabilillah French version checked by Moulla Nissarhoussen Radjpar

  2. Just as a tree is made up of roots and branches so is the religion of Islam. +

  3. Usool-e-din = the roots of the religion

  4. Furoo-e-din = the branches of the religion.

  5. Just as in a tree the roots are more important to the tree then the branches, so in Islam the Usool is more important for our Faith then Furoo.

  6. If in a tree the branches of the tree were to be chopped off the tree would still live and the branches would grow back slowly,

  7. but if the roots of the tree were to be chopped off, the tree would die.

  8. In the same way if one does not fully understand the furoo (branches) but does them anyway, the religion (Islam) would still live and the understanding would come slowly.

  9. Yet if a person does not understand the Usool (roots) then his Faith would die because these are basic beliefs of Islam.

  10. Every Muslim has to understand Usool to the best of their ability.

  11. Usool-e-din (roots of religion) are 5:

  12. Tawheed – • Allah is One.

  13. 2. Adaalat – Allah is Just.

  14. 3. Nabuwwat – Allah sent 124,000 Prophets to guide us.

  15. 4. Imamat - Allah sent 12 Imams to guide us.

  16. 5. Qiyamat – The Day of Judgement.
