  1. How Bollywood Invades Pakistan Movie Industry

  2. Do you like to watch Pakistani movies? Are you getting knowledge about the film industry in Pakistan? Yes, you are at right place. Read this editorial till the end to get know-how. Let’s enlighten on legend of film industry. Who doesn’t know AishwaryaRai? Or AmitaBachan? Perhaps the Pakistanis can tell a lot about them more than they can tell about the local artists. As the showtimes in Pakistan are getting multiplied with the birth of cinema complexes in the country, the local movies and actors are ‘threatened’ by Bollywood invasion since long ago.

  3. Pakistanis are willing to queue on the long line, not just to get caramelized popcorn but to watch their favourite Bollywood actors. The shows have affected the overall interest on these movies and make them as comparison to the local’s. • GhulamMohiuddin, a brilliant actor who has involved in more than a hundred of movies said that Indian movies were produced with a much higher budget than the local could afford. What’s more, the swamping of Indian movies with better qualities make Pakistanis turn to these Bollywood stuffs because they have the choice to do so. More than thousands of Indian movies have been playing in theatres and Mohiuddin admitted that Pakistan movie productions were unable to compete with these movies.

  4. And since the actors and actresses are not well managed in the country, they move to more anticipating country to make new career. One of Pakistan’s rising star Ali Zafar has flown to Mumbai and made a debut there. He is well received in India. And it’s a heart wrenching as well as inspiring to watch Pakistani actors made it internationally but yet leaving the country with less and less talented artists. It seems like the Indians know how to appreciate them better in term of movie makings.

  5. The movie times in Pakistan are decorated with Bollywood and Hollywood blockbusters as the local talents are drained. Just recently that the government agreed upon the reconstruction of old cinemas and the birth of new theatre complexes to cater more shows. • In 2013, there were 7 Pakistani movies released in theatres and the quality had met the people’s standard of a ‘good’ movie. This has been a positive feedback since years of struggle to raise awareness on local movie productions. • Let’s hope that these great cinemas can really cater great movies made by the Pakistanis and manage to compete with Bollywood or Hollywood industries.
