  2. Introduction • Ben Franklin was an important inventor and person. Ben Franklin had an interesting life. He was a kid when he started to learn lots of things and his family was poor. This report tells you about Ben Franklin and his life plus other interesting things about him.

  3. Ben’s Childhood • Ben Franklin had an interesting childhood. He was born in 1706 and lived with a huge family. Ben Franklin went to school for a very short time because he left school when he was ten. When Ben Franklin was 17 he ran away from his family. As Ben got older he opened up a printing shop. He loved to read books. He made himself paddles for his arms, legs, hands, and legs so he could swim faster.

  4. Ben’s family • Ben lived with a large family and he was the youngest one in the family. Ben’s family was poor so he worked at a candle shop. He didn’t like working at the candle shop because it was smelly. So instead young Ben worked for his older brother at a printing shop where there were books which he loved to read. When he got older he married Debra Read Rogers.

  5. Ben’s Job • Ben Franklin had several jobs. As a young man he worked for his brother. He loved to work for his brother because there were books, newspapers and other things he could read. As Ben got older he opened his own shop. He also opened a public hospital and public school for kids to finish their education.

  6. Ben Franklin’s accomplishments Here are accomplishments Ben had. Ben found the first hospital and introduced the idea of prayer of congress. Another of his accomplishments was that he started the first police department. He also introduced several corps to the U.S and he was the first post maker. Ben had three methods of cooling and made the Franklin stove for heating. Ben also became a clerk, post maker, alderman, governor, and finally an Ambassador.

  7. Ben Franklin’s inventions • Ben Franklin had many inventions. He invented electricity and he also made glasses so you don’t have to wear two! When his brother got sick he invented the shot which may be painful but it helps and it helped his brother feel well. Ben Franklin invented the lightning rod to protect buildings, and ships from lightning damage. Finally he invented the glass harmonica and the odometer.

  8. Conclusion • Ben Franklin was an amazing inventor and helped lots of people. Even today, we still use the shot he invented. He also invented lots of other amazing things. We should celebrate him for all his hard work.
