  3. 2.7 GPA Cumulative high school Clean discipline record Clean attendance record Will be selected following an interview process There are no exact positions you are running for at this time. At your interview time, you will be running for an appointed position. After the interviews, we will determine the direction the class will move in and what person fits the best position Appointed Positions: Requirements

  4. INFO. MEETINGS: Fri. March 16th during both A & D Lunches in room 015 in the basement Applications due on Friday March 23rd by 2:05 pm to Washington Hall No late applications, no exceptions. SIGNATURES REQUIRED!!! IMPORTANT DATES:

Elected vs. Appointed • Packet must be completed on time • Campaign • Email speech • Film speech for Hawk TV • Meet with Ms. Trost before you email your speech for approval • Packet must be completed on time • Sign up for an interview time in Washington Hall • Panel interview after election week

ELECTION POSTERS FOR APPROVAL: WHEN: THURSDAY March 22nd BY 3:00 PM WHERE: ACTIVITIES OFFICE PICK-UP APPROVED ELECTION POSTERS: WHEN: FRIDAY March 23rd by 3:00 PM WHERE: ACTIVITIES OFFICE SGA SPEECHES: WHEN: FINAL DRAFT OF SPEECH MUST BE EMAILED NO LATER THAN March 21st AT 2:05 PM WHERE: MR. BROYLES (sjbroyles@fcps.edu) WHEN: FILM SPEECHES WITH THE BROADCAST JOURNALISM CLASS ON Friday March 23rd DURING Hawk time A&B- NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Requirements for Speech • No longer than 30 seconds • Introduce yourself • Do NOT mention/reference another candidate • This is your opportunity to tell the school why they should vote for you! • Speech must be emailed to Mr. Broyles by April 5th so he can load on teleprompter • You must film your speech on Thursday April 7th during 2nd block. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Do you have time for this? • Your election will NOT be the most work you do towards SGA. • Your interview will NOT be the most work you do towards SGA. • If you can’t work productively with everyone in the room, find a new room. • You WILL be a positive role model at all times, in all scenarios. No exceptions.
