  1. PPM Software Now Provides Free Support for Customers PPM software is a provider of unique software that handles all of the admin for private medical practices, of which there are many in the UK, ranging from sole practitioners to groups of several doctors or consultants. One of the disadvantages of being in the medical profession is that it requires a huge amount of administration. Patients’ records have to be kept up to date, and they have to be accurate. If they are not, one mistake could literally be the difference between life and death, so accuracy is critical. So the results of blood tests, scans, operations, and even just visits to the doctor, have to be recorded, and doing all this manually takes a lot of time. There is enough work involved even if you are able to employ staff to assist, but for the sole practitioner it is all over and above the day to day care of patients. Doctors are trained to care for patients, and they receive precious little training in all the bookwork that can go with it. There is also another critical factor in the private medical sector and that is getting paid. This means raising and sending invoices, which may be only the beginning. It is fine if the patient pays on receipt of the invoice, but many do not. So then there is the question of credit control – chasing up patients who have failed to pay the invoice. The big problem is that all this takes time - and can take a lot of it. This is why PPM Software Ltd developed software over 20 years ago to take care of all the admin work a private medical practice has to deal with, and continues to provide regular updates so that every one of its customers can benefit from the latest

  2. developments and technology and do what doctors do best, and that is patient care. That is what they went into the profession for in the first place, not to become bookkeepers and accountants. An important aspect of the PPM Software service is that it is under constant development and all upgrades are free to the company’s customers. The PPM software covers every aspect of the management of a private practice from handling and booking appointments; sending automatic text reminders to patients; keeping patient files, with every test result, diagnosis, medication prescribed, operations carried out, and so on; to invoicing patients, chasing up late payments, and reducing bad debt. All of this means that the software can now take care of the admin, leaving the doctor with nothing to do but take care of the patient. About The Company: PPM Software has been producing software to handle every aspect of the administrative side of private medical practices large and small for over 20 years. Every time an upgrade is introduced it is supplied to customers free of charge.
