Ms. Cordry's Language Arts 7th & 8th Grade: Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening

This class focuses on developing reading comprehension, writing strategies, and speaking skills. Students will learn grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and sentence structure, aligned to CA State Standards. Using technology, students will engage in interactive presentations, online research, and reading assessments. The class also includes independent reading and book checks. Parent communication is facilitated through the Parent Portal and email.

Reading – Accelerated Reader • Computer tests • Reading Logs & Goals • Independent Reading Books • Read 20 minutes per day at school and at home to meet goals. • At least Two grades each quarter: Average Percent Correct Percent of Point Goal Book Checks/Log Checks • AR grades entered at the end of each quarter.
