  2. The Golden Taste Of India. Indian cooking is world renowned, and even if people do not want to accept it somewhere down the line they have to face reality. Even before people could cook properly, Indians were making a steady step towards taste and textures. All thanks to the spices provided to us by the Turkish Empire. The methods and spices changed the Indian culinary world drastically. With the gift of spices Indians were on a league of their own. Their cooking style differentiated from the rest of the world. Just a small ratio of these spices could add aroma and delicacy to any sober and plain dish. This was the magic of our spices. The ironical part of our history is, the spices that provided a sense of pride and dignity were the ultimate reason for our downfall. Everyone who evaded India post Turkish Era, came to India to get a taste of these spices. They were so fascinated by it, that they want to have it all to themselves.

  3. The taste of Indian cooking is vast and diverse; there are multiple reasons to it, namely: •The Turks. •The British. •The Portuguese. •The climate. •Spices. ➢The Turks: The Turkish or Mughal Empire did not only change the customs and culture of India, but also the cuisines. The Turks were said to be conquerors, though it be the war front or the kitchen, they wanted to conquer everything. The desire to achieve more and more, gave them the knowledge of different cuisines in different part of the world. The Turks introduced India to different type of meats and fishes. In addition to this they also gave India the gift of spices that made their cuisines even more appealing, not only in looks but also in taste. Even now their cuisines are most wanted by everyone who has ever tasted it. The Hyderabadi Biryani a world renowned dish was also given to us by the Turkish Empire. ➢The British: Being succumbed by the British Empire for so long, we took many positives as well as negatives from the British. After the British left us, we were shattered and in deep misery. But the gift of sweetness and taste was given to us by them. How much we criticize the British, but deep down we also know they did some good for us. The British breakfast, is famous all over the world and we can proudly say that we can create the British breakfast with equal footing with them in simple terms we can say that we can recreate the British breakfast as good as them. The British breakfast, has been widely accepted by everyone, and we Indians who have seen Britishers so closely have tried to mimic them. ➢The Portuguese: Though the Portuguese were not with us for an extended time but still they provided us with some of the best insights about cooking. Portugal being a coastal country had vast knowledge on fishes and

  4. many of their cuisines dealt with fishes. They taught us how to properly use the fishes in our cuisines, so that the taste could be enhanced a million times. Portuguese style of cooking was not accepted all over India. The reason was quite simple. India is divided in such a way that some of its land is completely land locked while some have rivers and seas. The ones that had sea and rivers were able to access the aquatic life and the others were not. In addition, the method of cooking also differentiates for different type of fishes. This was one of the major lessons taught to us by the Portuguese. ➢The Climate:The climate of India helps our country to harvest crops throughout the year. Every season has its own set of crops. And every crop has its own sense of belonging. The climate of our country helps to provide some of the key ingredients for multiple cuisines. It can be sugarcane, wheat, rice the list goes on and on, but we can proudly say that we have the best ingredients that will provide you with outstanding dishes. If it was not for the climate India would have been a barren country. The Britishers forced Indian peasants to grow crops that were commercial in nature. Because of this the land quality degraded frantically. But thanks to the climate we were able to stand on our feet again. Spices: The main ingredient of our cooking classes in Delhi has always been spices. If it weren’t for spices we would still be eating roasted or boiled food, without any proper taste. Spices have always been the crown of the Indian realm. With so many spices and herbs, it is very hard to tell what to use and what not to use. With great practice we are able manufacture dishes that would succeed your expectation clearly. The spices are blended so well into the dish, that ordinary people cannot make out which ingredient was the main element of the dish. The Indian curry which is said to be the most basic dish in an Indian cuisine, you will be surprised to know that almost all the Indian dishes have the base of curry.

  5. India has seen many ups and downs in the culinary world, but they strived hard and provided the taste that the world can recognize. Even after the sheer defeat and mishandled agriculture land, Indian farmers were able to produce crops of top quality, and after the green revolution the state of Indian agriculture bloomed significantly. Thus, we can proudly say that India has some of the most innovative and delicious cuisines that people can only taste in India, the dishes cannot be re created by anyone, the same way as we Indians do.
