Objectives • Update AWG on education and training efforts by the UBO • Discuss upcoming training initiatives • Participate in a demo using the new PAT CAT Finder that will be available shortly at TMA University

UBO Learning Center Teleconference August 2006 Rate Update – 4 sessions • Table Updates • Pharmacy Rate Methodology Change • CMAC Component File – new rates • Inpatient ASA Rate update • MHS Helpdesk & TMA UBO Helpdesk
UBO Learning Center Teleconference Provider Specialty Code Table Update – 6 sessions • Provided updated information to the field on how provider specialty codes changed • Asked field to get this information into the hands of those who needed it
UBO Learning Center Teleconference FY2007 ICD-9 CM Updates for Outpatient Professional Services – 8 sessions • Provided updates on new 2007 diagnosis codes • Provided updates on new 2007 procedure codes • Provided a pivot table tool so MTF’s (by DMIS ID Number) could quantify where these new changes would have the greatest impact. • Provided guidance on who the teleconference listener should tell about these new codes.
UBO Learning Center Teleconference VA/DoD Health Care Resource Sharing Agreements - New Inpatient Billing Guidance and Tools to Support Billing- 4 sessions • Teleconference described the new Inpatient Billing Guidance • Gave guidance on how to use the new automated calculator to determine the billable amount for the hospitalization component of inpatient care provided by military or VA hospitals under the provisions of VA/DoD Health Care Resource Sharing Agreements.
