Learning Objectives Participants will gain exposure to new forms and functionality in the Oracle R12 instance, including: -Manager Self-Service -Employee Self-Service -Employee Benefits Self-Service -Administrator Benefits Service Center
Learning Objectives (cont’d) Participants will gain exposure to select form and function changes, including the following modules: -Human Resources -Accounts Payable/Payments -Purchasing -Supplier File -Grants Management -Accounts Receivable
Learning Objectives (cont’d) Participants will: • Hear the benefits and added efficiencies of the additional self-service functionality and why campuses should promote use of this functionality by employees • Discuss workflow and worklists within the applicable modules listed above • See the high-level training plan and location of resources for all Oracle R12 modules

Manager Self-Service • New Hire • Employees only (no fellows) • No multiple assignments (within or across different campus locations) • Existing Employee Changes • Assignment • Pay Rate
Manager Self-Service • Advantages • Eliminate routing of paper forms • PI/Designee can directly input into system • Workflow will route new assignment or assignment change to necessary approvers • Once final approval obtained, information live in Oracle
Manager Self-Service • Workflow Approval Process • We collected approval process flows from campuses • Currently working with technical team on the approval process and storing/maintaining of the campus approvers.

Employee Self-Service • “My Tax Forms” • Update federal tax withholdings within self-service application • View and print updated federal W-4 after input • Ability to view NYS IT-2104 (NYS withholding form), complete and print for submission to HR office
Employee Self-Service • “My Pay Methods” • Set up new direct deposit information • Change amount deposited into existing bank account • Cancel existing direct deposit
NEW - Expanded FTE Field • Expanded to 4 decimal places • Existing assignments will not convert • Will help ensure rate is correct for employees with specific schedule (ex: 75 hrs in 80 hr biweekly period = .9375 FTE)

Oracle Advanced Benefits • View current coverage • Designate/change life insurance beneficiaries • Begin/change optional retirement deductions
