  9. Rural Energy for America Program aka Section 9007 • Energy Audit and Renewable Energy Development Assistance (EA-REDA). • Renewable Energy Feasibility Study (FS). • Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvements (RES-EEI).

  10. REAP – Energy Audit Grant • Funding – up to 4% of the money available to the Rural Energy for America Program. • Maximum Grant - $100,000 to any one recipient. • Energy Audits require the ag producer or rural small business to pay at least 25% of the cost of the audit. • Eligible applicants • Governmental (State, Tribal and Local) • Institutions of Higher Education etc. • electrical cooperative & public power entities

REAP – Feasibility Study Grant • Renewable Energy Feasibility Study (FS) • Funding – up to 10% of REAP funds • Maximum Grant $50,000 or 25% of eligible project cost. • Feasibility Study must be completed in two years • Eligible Applicants (same as RES-EEI) • Agricultural Producer or Rural Small Business • U.S. citizen or legally admitted resident • Project located in a rural area (<50,000 pop.)

Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvements (RES-EEI) • How much assistance can be provided? • Maximum grant <25% or $500K(RE)/$250K(EEI) • Minimum grant $5,000 (RE) / $2,500 (EEI) • A guaranteed loan application <75% or $25Million • Combination grant/guaranteed loan <75% • Owner/Applicant must provide >25%
