  3. MYTH • Singles simply value friends more than married people do

  4. ~Single people depend on their parents.

  5. MYTH • There aren’t actually many differences between singles and marrieds when it comes to how much we rely on our parents. Everybody wants mommy’s and daddy’s help sometimes. • We all look for their warmth and their openness.

  6. ~Singles are more involved in community service

  7. MYTH • There is no elaboration. I guess single people and married people equally don’t give a damn.

  8. MYTH • Single people tend to think they are happier, whereas married people think that they are happier than singles. • Single men are typically more stressed than single women.

  9. So I’m gonna drink my money I’m not gonna pay his rent (Nope.) ~Single People have more money

  10. MYTH • Married couples are better off economically because more often than not, both couples work.

  11. ~Singles view singlehood as an alternative lifestyle.

  12. MYTH • Most singles expected to be married within 5 years. They view singlehood as a transitional time in their lives, not an alternative to marriage.

  13. ~Singles don’t fit into married society- Married couples think that if they invite singles over, they must invite another single of the opposite sex. Married people think in terms of couples. ~Singles have more time- They have more choices and more opportunity for leisurely activity. ~Singles have more fun- Singles more often engage in sports and physical activity and have more sexual partners ~Singles are lonely- Singles, especially one’s that were formerly married, tend to be lonelier than married people.
