Market Update - Indicators • S&P/Case-Shiller Home Indices report was released on September 28th for the month of July, showing minor improvement on a YOY basis. • This report is compiled for last trailing three months, however, and factors in home buyer tax credits in May and June. • Recent build-up in crude oil and gasoline inventories have led to declining prices amidst skepticism over the recovery • Durable orders in the U.S. fell 1.3%, driven by a 10.3% decrease in orders for transportation equipment. Although volatile, this report is considered a leading indictor of manufacturing activity .
