Carbon steel plate grade C45 o?ering moderate tensile strengths. This grade can be ?ame or induction hardened to produce a good surface hardness with moderate wear resistance. It has tensile properties which can vary approximately 500-800N/mm square. Uses of C45 Steel: C45 round bar steel material and steel plate are widely used in all industry for uses which require more strength and wear resistance than the low carbon mild steel. C45 is extensively used for many standard engineering applications. Typical applications consist of tools, shafts, nuts, bolts, connecting rods, screws, rollers.
