  1. Sněžka

  2. Sněžka in the Giant Mountains • Sněžka (Sněžka) is located in the famous Krkonoše (Czech Krkonoše, Polish Karkonosze). At 1,602 meters, it is the highest mountain in the Czech Republic. South of the mountain is the city Pec pod Sněžkou (Petzer) and north in the Polish Lower Silesian Voivodeship, the city Karpacz (Karpacz). • On the southern slope of the mountains flows the Úpa (Aupa), which has its origin in Równia pod Śnieżką (Koppenplan), runs through Pec pod Sněžkou and finally ends into the Elbe. In the north, the Łomnica (Great Lomnitz) banned their way. It rises from the same plateau, flows through Karpacz and flows into the Bóbr (Bober).

  3. Hiking trails to Sněžka • from Pec pod Sněžkou the ascent is via a blue marked trail through the Riesengrund (Obří důl) • from Pec pod Sněžkou over the Růžová hora (Rosenberg) • from Velká Úpa (Großaupa) through the Šraml (scree) over the Rosenberg (Růžová hora) • from Horní Malá Úpa (Upper Kleinaupa) over the Jelenka (Emma Spring Building) • from Špindlerův Mlýn over the plan, the Vyrovka and Lucni Bouda • from Špindlerův Mlýn via Sv. Petr. and the Kozi Hrbety • from Špindlerův Mlýn along the white Elbe • from Spindlerovka Bouda along the Friendship Path

  4. Arrival at the Silesian house Extremely iced, dangerous and high heels? This is followed by a good 200 meters to the summit, which are extremely icy. Although there is a permanent protection along the path through steel chains, should you slip, but they do not help. On the contrary, one can rather hurt oneself while holding on. In spite of the adverse conditions, some Poles and Czech women are actually up here, as if they were shopping in Prague: with high heels or high heels, no caps and no gloves. • At about 1400 m theSilesian House is located , which is on Polish soil. • Here we encounter the phenomenon “Snezka” which, like then, resembles the mass onslaught on the Carrauntoohil on Ireland.  • Hundreds of people, most of them with the ski lift up, are literally tormented by the last ascent to the highest mountain in the Czech Republic.
