  1. Thesis Statement Thesis Statement Water pollution has had devastating effects on the environment, which include irreversible effects to the ocean's ecosystem, health problems and abnormal conditions. interference of the ocean's ecosystem – Plastic storage bags can kill animals in the oceans like dolphins, turtles and whales. It is easy for wildlife to swallow and eventually causes death. * Over 1.5 billion tons of plastic water bottles end up in US landfills each year. It takes over 300 years to degrade. health problems –Spread of diseases * Lead. Lead is hazardous to health as it accumulates in the body and affects the central nervous system. Children and pregnant women are most at risk. * Fluoride. Excess fluorides can cause...show more content... The chemical poisoning in water have a great impact on humans because it can cause brain damage and physical deformities in unborn fetuses. Pollution disrupts the natural food chain as well. Pollutants such as lead and cadmium are eaten by tiny animals. Later, these animals are consumed by fish and shellfish, and the food chain continues to be disrupted at all higher levels. Eventually, humans are affected by this process as well. People can get diseases such as hepatitis by eating seafood that has been poisoned. Besides, Water pollutants introduce abnormal conditions (harmful chemicals, changes in water temperatures) into water bodies, disrupting existing ecosystems and can potentially contribute to reducing biodiversity in that affected area – one of the effects of water pollution. For example, the discharge of heated–up water from thermal and nuclear power plants into a river can cause problems for aquatic organisms, which are fairly used to specific temperatures. The increase in water temperatures could increase their metabolic rates and hence their need for food. This could eventually lead to the depletion of food sources in that water region and in turn cause a reduction in species population in that water region. Besides thermal pollution, water could also be polluted via the entry of acidic substances into the water bodies through rivers, seas and oceans. The effects of water pollution by this process, known as ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

According to the National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses (the 2004 nurse population), the rates of moderate or extreme job dissatisfaction ranged from 6% to 16% across practice settings. The highest rates of dissatisfaction were found among staff nurses, nurse clinicians, and supervisors, with the lowest rates among nurse midwives, certified, and supervisors with the lowest rates among nurse midwives, certified nurse anaesthetists, and nurse practitioners. The rates of job dissatisfaction have been much higher in individual's studies. For example, in a study of 13,471 nurses in Pennsylvania (1998 – 1999, 41% of respondents said they were dissatisfied with their jobs. This rate was higher than that for nurse population in four other countries (Canada, England, Germany and Scotland), where nursing was associated with a 43 % rate of ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

D. Observations/Questions: 1. How do we look back on our history, see in terror how cruel we acted, and then continue to treat those under us the exact same way? 2.
