  4. 1247 – first written mention • 1299 – Prešov got the city privileges • 1429 – first school in Prešov • 1455 – Prešov can hold the annual three-day • market • 1687 – Carrafa’s slaughter

  5. 1703 – the biggest anti-habsburg uprising • the end of 18th century – first jewish people • 1848 – first jewish synagogue • 1924 – Bosak’s bank • 19.1. 1945 – liberated by Red army • 1950 – the centre of city becomes a city monument
