Bothofusreadeachitemfoundinthesesearches (morethanfourteenthousand). Receivedanobjectifitsabstractortitlewaspromising (agreementbetweenuswas99.2%,with disagreementsresolvedbyGraham).

  10. STUDYFEATURECODING Researchcharacteristics,qualitymarkers,and variablesneededtodetermineeffectsizeswereall enteredforeachstudy. FUTURERESEARCH Thisreviewlooksatandsummarisesthefindingsof pastexperimentalandquasi-experimentalstudies ontheinfluenceofClinicalMeta-AnalysisExperts andwritingtrainingonstudents'readingabilities. Whileasubstantialbodyofstudy(ninety-five investigations)hasdevelopedthroughouttime,the researchfoundationincludesseveralflawsand deficiencies. Onedrawbackisthepoorqualityoftheresearch offered,andthereisanopportunityforimprovement.

  13. CONCLUDINGCOMMENTS Thesoundeffectsofwritingaboutwhatyou'veread,writing training,andmoretimespentwritingareallmentionedinthis review. Whilewritingandwritinginstructionshouldnotbeusedin placeofreadinginstruction,thewritingtreatmentswelook atheregiveteachersmoreoptionstohelpchildrenimprove theirreadingskills.
