What is IAESTE International? • Founded in 1948 in Europe as a means to rebuild Europe after WWII • Facilitates exchange of technical students in 80+ countries • A RECIPROCAL exchange: for every internship located in Iran, we receive an internship abroad for an Iranian student

The Vision of IAESTE International • To provide students with practical international experience relative to their studies so they can excel in today’s global environment • To promote international understanding and goodwill among students of all nations

What is IAESTE Iran • Founded in 2002 at the University of Tehran (Co-operating Institution) • 7 universities are participating now • Applied for Associate Membership in 2005 • Each year about 100 offers and 70 outgoing and 25 incoming trainees

Where can I go? • Over 80 member countries, expanding every year • IAESTE Iran sends students to ~30 countries each year
Am I eligible? (formal criteria) • Must be: • Student at universities and Institutes affiliated to the ministry of science, research and higher education • Enrolled in engineering, sciences or applied art • Age 22-30 • Fluent in English

Salary • All interns are paid a salary in local currency to cover the cost of living • Vary from country to country • The IAESTE internship is not meant to be a money making venture, rather an invaluable experience of the culture and gain in work experience
