  3. Bail Amount • Sometimes, the defendant cannot afford the bail which is set to get out of the jail. • In that case, if a bail bondsman is hired, then the defendant can get out of jail by paying just 10% to 15% of the full amount of their bail to them.

  7. After Release • After being released, the defendant must be present for any and all court proceedings. • If the individual does not turn up in court, the bail agent must pay the full bail amount to the court. • The bail agent will then locate the defendant and most likely return them to jail.
