  2. Whatis Self-learning? • It is a theory developed by many thinkers and educators like MalcomKnowles and Roger Hiemstra. The theory involves some self-directed learning tools that help students to be autonomous learners. SL is “a process in which people take primary initiative for planning, carrying out, and evaluating their own learning” (Merriam & Caffarella, 1999)

  3. Why is Self Learning part of ELSD at KSU/PY? • It empowersstudents to thinkcritically. • It enableslearners to depend on themselves and explore theirpotentials in the learningprocess.
