Introduction - Policy 7Policy Governing Approval of Multi-School Athletic Events IS REQUIREDfor any athletic event hosted by an FHSAA member senior high school which involves three or more schools such as a tournament or meet; preseason/fall classic tournament; preseason/fall jamboree; bowl game; or any tournament or meet which is held to determine the champion of a city, county, conference or league. Special Events also require sanctioning. Approval is NOT REQUIREDfor multi-team regular season events, such as tri-meets and quad-meets; for any event in the recognized sports or for any event hosted by a member middle school or junior high school.   3. Who’s Responsibility? The host member schoolis responsible for making application for approval on the forms entitled “Application for Approval of Athletic Event” Form AT2 & AT2s: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football Jamborees, Soccer, Softball, Girls Volleyball , Swimming & Diving, Track & Field and Boys Weightlifting, and Wrestling Form AT3 & AT3s: Football Classic and Bowl Games Florida High School Athletic Association

  5. New Forms - AT2s & AT3s • Does this event have a Sponsor or Promoter? • Third partypromoter or sponsor • Policy 7.1.3 and 7.8 • Questions: • Will the event be televised • Will the event be radio broadcasted • Will the event be webcasted Florida High School Athletic Association

  10. Filling out the Forms? Rename form – School name-Sport-Date Example: Young High-FB-12/28 Once received back, always check here for additional correspondence from the FHSAA. If you team list contains more than 50 teams, you can upload the file here. Always Save! Florida High School Athletic Association

  11. The FHSAA will not receive any percentage of the gross receipts from these events, and it will not be necessary for host schools of these events to file a financial report form with the FHSAA Office. Administrative Fees – AT2 Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football Jamborees, Soccer, Softball, Girls Volleyball , Swimming & Diving, Track & Field and Boys Weightlifting, and Wrestling Florida High School Athletic Association

  12. Football “New” Revenue Shares: Administrative Fees – AT3 CLASSICS & BOWL GAMES: 20%of the gross receipts OR a flat fee as listed below, WHICHEVER is LESS according to the following table: • A complete financial report (Classics: FB4; Bowl Game:FB3) with appropriate revenue shares, due within 30 daysof the conclusion of the event.   13. Additional Administrative Fees The application for approval must be received in the FHSAA Office not later than 30 Daysprior to the first day of the event to avoid, in addition to the standard administrative fee, the following details additional fees: Florida High School Athletic Association

  14. Interstate Sanctions Alabama & Georgia • Contract Needed for Single contest • Sanction needed for more than two school of team sports • Must submit each school’s contact information • A member of state association • Full School Name • Address Florida High School Athletic Association

  15. Interstate Sanctions • Any interstate (between states) event involving two(2) or more schools which is co-sponsored by or titled in the name of an organization outside of the school community, i.e. Nike, Reebok • Events with non-bordering states if five (5) or more states are involved • Events with non-bordering states if more than eight(8) schools are involved • Any event involving two (2) or more schools that involves a team from a foreign country Florida High School Athletic Association

  16. Participation in Out-of-State Contest • Outside of Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama. • Submitted no later than 60 days of travel. • Certification of Travel Approval • Letter from Head Master/Principal approving the out of state travel Policy 7.5: Form AT16 Application For Out of State Travel Florida High School Athletic Association

  17. Participation in Unsanctioned Events • Member schools are prohibited from hosting or otherwise participating in multi-team athletic events or single athletic contests on an intrastate, interstate or international basis which are not sanctioned or approved by the FHSAA and NFHS • Penalty for Violation of Sanction Policy:A minimum financial penalty of $100.00 will be assessed against any member school which violates any provision of this Sanction Policy Florida High School Athletic Association
