  2. About the Lake • Man-made lake • Begins at Kerr dam, constructed in 1953. • Lake was completed with the construction of the Gaston dam in 1963. • Lake Gaston borders the counties of Mecklenburg and Brunswick in Virginia and Warren, Halifax, and Northampton in North Carolina. Produced by GRA3

Fishing • The lake is well stocked with game fish such as striped bass, largemouth bass, yellow perch, a variety of catfish, chain pickerel, walleye, sunfish, and crappie. • Fishing tournaments are held throughout the year on the lake. • To fish from a boat on a lake, one must have a valid Virginia or North Carolina fishing license (unless they are under 15).   10. Why Do I Love It? Every weekend in the summer, my family and I pack up our bags and head to the “Lake House.” Whenever I am there, I have no worries. I boat, wakeboard, and, just simply, relax. Comments • This was the first time that I used a footer, an audio clip, SmartArt graphics, and a table in a PowerPoint presentation. • I think this assignment was a good way to show our understanding of the material covered in the lecture on PowerPoint.
