In June and July 2012, I interned with the Jesuit AIDS Project (JAP) in Harare, Zimbabwe, focusing on empowering young people to prevent STIs and HIV. My internship included psycho-social visits to high schools, data collection, and participation in various organizational activities. At G. Spagnoli Center, I gained clinical experience by checking vitals and assisting nurses. This experience enhanced my skills in group facilitation, communication, and report writing while deepening my understanding of the non-profit sector. Grateful for the support from JAP staff and funding from the Katherine Houghton Hepburn Center.
