  4. Awards Skyfall won two Oscars, these being the award for Best Achievement in Music for Motion Pictures and Best Achievement in Sound Editing.

  5. Source Material As Skyfall wasn’t adapted from one of Ian Flemings books the source material for Skyfall was the original screenplay, which was written by Noel Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan.

Writers There were three main writers for Skyfall, two of these writer, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (born in Penarth, South Wales), co-wrote Skyfall with John Logan (born in Chicago, Illinois, USA). Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have co-written five James Bond films, The World Is Not Enough to Skyfall. The writing credits for some of the characters in Skyfall, including James Bond, Q, and M, go to the original writer of the 007 books, Ian Fleming. The three writers; Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan, all won an award for there work on Skyfall, the Alexander Korda Award, this was awarded for best British film. This award comes under the BAFTA’s.

  7. Director The director of Skyfall, Sam Mendes, was born in Reading, Berkshire, England. For his work on Skyfall he won a BAFTA, specifically an Alexander Korda Award.
