  1. How many of you are good listener? • There are many way’s to communicate with family. One part of communication is to think about the important of listening. Communication is not just talking it also understanding. When we talk to other people we want to make sure to let them understand what we are going to talk about. • We have to give to others a chance to talk. If they repeat the word words we said we know that they are listening to us. Communication also is non- verbal and verbal. • Especially when we talk with others we should not distrabt them. We need to give our full intonation to them, we must stop doing something else. This is what I would like to talk about today.

  2. ways of Listening A good listener knows that communication has both verbal and non verbal pieces. • Hearing is important ways to be communicate with each people. • One example can happen at the doctor’s office. • When a doctor say something that is not clear. • The patient usually asks them to talk more clearly to understand what they are saying. • Also, sometimes a doctor uses medical terminology that might make a patient confused. A doctor usually tries to explain to patients what they are saying because people have different situation. • Remembering= when someone say something we should remember what that person said. • Interpreting= when a person is talking to you till they done you don’t interrupt them. • Responding= we should ask question to the person what we heard about.

  3. non-verbal listening communication • A more difficult example is when someone has a speaking disabled. However speaking with disabled people is hard because they communicate by different way’s. Maybe disabled people should communicate by writhing. They also use sing language that might help in communicate. Because there are many different disabled people, they should be many different way’s to communicate with them. We need to respect them because they can not talk fast like us.

  4. Why should we teach listening skill to children? • Parent should teach children how to listen. Parent should make eye contact when they were talking to them. Also, parent should know what to talk to their children. When parent was talking with their children. They make focus on the word that, they are say something correctly. • When your children are talking, be patient and try not to interrupt. Keep an eye contact and discuss the important point of what your children say if you feel your children are not been paying attention, ask them to repeat what you just said. • Parent should practice listening skill at the dinner table by giving child the chance to tell how was his or her day. I • It is important to remember that listening is a behavior, so be patient and encourage your children. If you did this all the time they will become better listeners as they grow up. This on the other hand develop the habit of patience in children, they won’t interrupt when others are speaking. When we actively to children, we are letting them know that they can send a message and that their message is important to us. It is important that we give them our full attention – listening for the feelings as well as the content of their message.

  5. Removing distractions Reduce any distractions that will keep you from focusing on their message. • Try to stop whatever you are doing that may distract you from their message—such as watching television or trying to read while the person is talking to you. You may need to tell them, 'I will be better able to listen to you once I am done with---.’’ When people get angry they might not give any attention. • If someone get fight with someone they not listen to you. Also, sometimes it is hard to talk with people who are tired because they are tired and can’t hear you well. When a thred person interrupts the existing conversation. • There are times when people should not have a big conversation, such as when operating machinery car fling an airplane.

  6. In counculiton • It is good to listen to family, but not just family others people to. It is helpful to be with family member to communicate. • Communication is not just one way’s it is also many way’s. listen for the content and the feelings behind the words. • Do not just listen to the content of what is being said.
