Population Served • K-12 • Topsail High, Topsail Middle, South Topsail Elementary, Pender Success Academy, Burgaw Middle and Burgaw Elementary • Students struggling academically. • Students who are emotionally disturbed and need services from mental health professionals. • Students who already have 504 accommodations (protects against discrimination based upon disability) or IEP’s (goals that a student support team sets for the child)

  3. Job Duties • Score Connor Parent and Teacher Rating scales for ADHD, Adolescent Self report, and Draw a person. • Sat in on IQ testing • Sit in on IEP meetings with Student Support Teams • Sent out all 504 accommodations to the teachers • 6th, 7th & 8th grade group sessions • Observe individual sessions with the School Psychologist. • Mentor for 9th grade female who has Nystagmus

  4. Recommendations • Individuals who are flexible • Individuals who are patient • Up beat personality • Can make important decisions in a relatively short time limit • The ability to multi-task • Able to transport self

  5. School Psychologist • Create Behavior Plans • Attend all SST meetings possible • Handle mental health referrals • Testing/Scoring/Interpreting • Threat Assessments • Refer to outside counseling
