Tom Chamberland has dedicated over 20 years to the role of Tree Warden in Sturbridge, MA. First elected in 1984 and appointed from 1987, he has been instrumental in various tree initiatives, including planting over 1,500 trees and securing $19,000 in grants for community forestry efforts. An ISA Certified Arborist and past president of tree associations, Tom has led Arbor Day celebrations and enhanced local tree policies. His commitment has helped Sturbridge earn its designation as the First Tree City USA in 1988, making significant strides in environmental education and community involvement.
