  3. A theology of Joy • Joy is a gift from God to those who believe the gospel, being produced in them by the Holy Spirit as they receive and obey the Word, being mixed with trials, reserved for those who have their hope set on future glory.

Our response • to receive and apply the word • change our perspective on trials • increase our joy • shake people up and awaken them from the spiritual sleep • to focus on future glory • Joy is a gift from God to those who believe the gospel, being produced in them by the Holy Spirit as they receive and obey the Word, being mixed with trials, reserved for those who have their hope set on future glory.
