The human body needs a proper sleep cycle and rest for continued healthy functioning. While to the person who sleeps near a snorer it may be an annoying and worrying problem, it is also an indication of underlying diseases in the snorer. The common, accepted, popular reason for snoring is obstruction in the breathing organs but there might be many reasons that are not so obvious Sleep Apnea Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder, whose symptoms include pauses in breathing or periods of shallow breathing during sleep. The pauses can vary in length from seconds to several minutes and happen many times during the night. The commonest form of sleep apnea is snoring. It might also cause choking or a snorting sound while breathing resumes. Snoring or difficulty in breathing during sleep apnea can lead to lack of sleep during the night time and affect regular sleep patterns.
