  3. 1.Pangong Lake: Pangong Lake is the biggest lake in Indian Himalayas. It is located 135 km west of Leh at a height of nearly 14,270 ft across Changla Pass. The entire lake is about 140 km long, more than half laying within the west Tibet region of China. You can reach there in five hour drive from Leh, most of it in a rough and dramatic mountain road. 2.Nubra Valley: Nubra Valley is situated in North of Leh, 125 km across Khardungla Pass 5,570mtr which is world’s highest motorable pass. In Nubra the important sights are Diskit Monastery with the tallest statue of Maitreya Buddha in Ladakh, white silvery sand dunes, double humped camels, Turtuk-Bogdang border villages etc.
