  1. 3rd Grade Kartchner Caverns & Copper Queen Mine Field Trip Parent Information Meeting August 16, 2012

  2. Field Trip Dates Mrs. Meyn’s Class – November 2nd Mrs. Kester’s and Mrs. Dahnert’s Classes – November 9th Mrs. Renio’s and Mrs. Wong’s Classes – November 16th

  3. Why do we go? • Extend our Science curriculum (rocks & minerals) and also other objectives (maps, letter writing, graphing, functional text, etc) • Common Core • MEMORIES!!! • Signature 3rd Grade Field Trip

  4. Tentative Itinerary • 6:00 AM – Arrive at School & Load Busses • 6:15 AM – Busses Depart Fulton • TRAVEL TO BISBEE, Rock & Mineral Review and Games • 10:30 – Copper Queen Mine Tour • 12:00 – Load busses, lunch on busses • TRAVEL TO BENSON Tombstone, Bisbee, Kartchner Caverns Fact and Trivia Game & video of Kartchner Caverns • 1:00 – Arrive At Kartchner, tour museum • Big Room Tours between 1:30 and 4:00 • Load busses, get pizza dinner, head home • **6:30 PM Arrive back at Fulton

  5. Field Trip Pricing • Student Fee is $100.00. Can be paid for by tax credit donation, check, or cash. • Parent Chaperone Fee is $100.00. Can only be paid for by check or cash. • Tax Credit money comes back to you when you file your taxes – so it’s basically free! • Give what you can!

  6. More Info. • Students need to bring: • Sack lunch • Water bottle • Snacks • Polite Behavior to represent Fulton School • We give them: • Pizza dinner, drink, dessert. • Educational materials • A fantastic experience!  Students need to wear: • Class shirt • Long pants • Tennis shoes • Jacket, long sleeved shirt (layers) • Smile!

  7. Questions? • Thank you for coming!! • Please take your child’s information packet and sign up sheet. • If you are interested in chaperoning, please sign up on your child’s teacher’s form. • ALL STUDENT FORMS AND PAYMENT DUE ON FRIDAY, September 14th.
