  1. Diary week for European Study pupils at St Peter’s H.S. Derry Hi, everyone. A big welcome from class 10O at St Peter’s H.S. in Derry. We hope you enjoy our PowerPoint Presentation

  2. Main Entrance • THIS photograph shows the front and the main entrance of the our school building.

  3. View of the River Foyle • This photograph was taken from the third floor in our school. It shows the River Foyle and the East and West banks.

  4. A view of the River and the City • A different view [again taken from the third floor] showing the River Foyle flowing past the City towards the sea. Craigavan bridge can be seen in the distance. The meander of the River can be seen quite clearly.

  5. School Grounds • Top photograph shows the all weather football pitch. • The bottom photograph shows the entrance to the school canteen.

  6. French • Mlle Amidieu taking our Spanish lesson. Spanish has only started in our school this year.

  7. English • Mrs Neely (Top) Ms O’Sullivan (left) and Ms Harrigan (right) three of our English teachers discussing lessons with some of the different classes. • In our school all classes are broken up for English, Maths and Science.

  10. Geography • These pictures show Shauna a LSA and Mr Condren helping some pupils during our Geography lesson. The topics which we are covering this term are Climate and Natural Disasters.

  11. Chemistry Ms Lees discussing river pollution in the River Foyle, which is the river that flows through our City.

  12. Information Technology This is Mr Condren, who is our KS3 ICT Coordinator, showing us what we must do for our 1st Module’ which is designing a Career Brochure. We have to do 4 Modules to get our Certificate

  13. Library This is our class during a library period. Our librarian is Mrs Harrison. She is from Belfast and she did her degree at Queens University,

  14. Physics • Mr Parks discussing with the class what Radio Waves are and what affect they have on us.

  15. Physical Education Some of our class taken part in some circuit training. Our PE teacher is Mr O’ Hagan

  17. History Terry and Jack helping Ms Rice with a PowerPoint presentation during a History lesson. Ms Rice is also HOD in ICT.

  18. Art Mr Gallagher working with Caolan and Terry who have had there work selected for the Credit Union competition. Our school got 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the same competition last year.

  19. Music Ms O’Kane watching over Shaun, Michael, Caolan and Oran as they practice their musical skills on the electric organs.

  20. Employability/Careers This is our class with an external visitor called David who Mr McGilloway (who is sitting at back of the room) invited in to talk to us about Careers and the subjects that we might need to get a job after we leave school.

Hello my name is Conor CleereMy chosen Diary day is Monday • The 1st thing I do on a Monday is to go to registration with my Form teacher, Ms Harrigan, this begins at 8:45. • My 1st lesson is PSE which begins at 9:00 and end at 9:55. • Morning break is at 9:55 to 10:10. • At 10:10 I go to Ms Lees Science class. • At 11:05 I have Art with Mr Gallagher. • I then have Lunch from 12:05 until 12:50. After lunch we again have registration with our Form teacher, (12:50-1:00). • At 1:00 I go to History in Ms Rice’s room • My last lesson is Geography and my teacher is Mr Condren. This lesson begins at 2.00 and ends at 3.00. • 3:00 to 3:05 we again go to our Form Class. • I then get the bus home which takes about 35 minutes as I live about 3 miles away.

Hi, everybody my name isSean Paul BreenMy chosen Diary day is Tuesday • 1st thing on a Tuesday I go to registration with my Form teacher Ms Harrigan it lasts from 8:45 to 9:00. • My 1st lesson is ICT, with Mr Condren, I am presently working on Module one for my KS3 certificate. • We have a break for 15 minutes at 9:55 • At 10:10 I go to Mrs McBride’s Technology room, • The 3rd lesson at 11:05 is Geography with Mr Condren • I then have Lunch from 12:05 until 12:50. • After lunch I go to registration with my Form teacher. • At 1:05 I go to Maths with Mr Schlindwein • My last lesson is PE it begins at 2.00 and ends at 3.00 my teacher is Mr O’Hagan. • 3:00-3:05 We go to our Form teacher. • I then go home on the bus it takes about 30 minutes.

  23. Hello, my name is William Mc Veigh,My chosen Diary day is Wednesday • The 1st thing I do when I arrive at school is go to the PE hall. My Form teacher arrives at 8:45 and takes us to her room where we stay until 9:00 • At 9am my 1st lesson begins with History in Ms Rice’s room. We are covering a local Issue. • At 9:55 until 10:10 we have a break. We normally go to the Canteen • At 10:10 I go to Ms Park’s Science class, I enjoy this class are he is a brilliant teacher . • At 11:05 I have Maths with Mr Logue. I don’t like maths very much. • I then go to Lunch which lasts from 12:05 until 12:50. After lunch we again have registration with our Form teacher, Ms Harrigan. • At 1:05 I go to Ms O’Sullivan’s room to do English. • Finally my last lesson is with Ms Amideau who teaches Spanish. This lesson begins at 2:00 and ends at 3:00 • When school finishes I wait for my dad to collect me and take me home.

My name is Shaun Doherty, My chosen Diary day is Thursday • When I go into school I go down to the PE hall were I wait until 8:45 then my Form teacher comes and takes us to his room for registration which lasts until 9:00. • On Thursday our 1st class is English with Ms Harrigan. • In our 2nd class we have Science with Mr Webb. • 3rd lesson we have Music with Ms O’Kane, who is doing maternity leave for Ms Strawbridge. • At 12:05 to 12:50 we have lunch. After lunch we again go to our Form teacher for registration. • In our 4th lesson we have Art with Mr Gallagher. • My last lesson is Employability with Mr McGilloway who is also our Careers teacher. • When the school is over I walk home as I only live a very short distance away.

Hi, my name is Laurence Taggart my chosen Diary day is Friday • The 1st thing that I do in the mornings is to go to the PE hall where our Form teacher collects us at 8:45 for registration. • My 1st lesson on Friday is English with Ms O’ Sullivan. • At 9:55 until 10:10 we have a morning break. • At 10:10 I go to Mrs McBride’s Technology class. • At 11:05 until 12:00 I do Citizenship with Mr Quigley • I then have Lunch from 12:05 until 12:50. After lunch we again have registration with our Form teacher Ms Harrigan. • At 1:05 I go to Mr Logue’s Maths room. • My last lesson is RE and this begins at 2.00 and ends at 3.00. Mrs Neely takes us for this subject. • I then go to my Form teacher until 3:05. • I then get two buses home which takes about 60 minutes as I live about 6 miles from the school.
