These adjectives often describe… • beauty • joli – pretty • C’estunejoliejupe. • beau – handsome / beautiful • age • jeune – young • vieux – old • nouveau – new • goodness • bon – good • mauvais – bad • gentil – nice • size • grand – tall (large for sizes) • petit – short (small for sizes) • gros – fat

  3. B.A.G.S.: Word Order • article + BAGS adjective + noun • C’estunejoliejupe. • J’ai un grand sac noir. • translate • I want the big backpack. • She needs a small tee-shirt. • This is a new pair of pants. (“a new pant”)

  4. Adjectifsirréguliers • As always, the adjective must agree in number and gender with the noun. • Some of these adjectives have irregular forms: • * before a masculine, singular noun beginning with a vowel (or h + vowel)

Incorporate the adjectives provided in parentheses. • Je: jupe(nouveau, noir) • Tu: chaussures (vieux, brun) Describe both the person and what the person is wearing.
