  2. Learning Objective 1 ACCT-BVPM-1. Students will demonstrate initiative in broadcast/video production in various workplace settings. a. Observe and evaluate production challenges in the workplace and/or classroom. b. Demonstrate appropriate workplace initiatives.

  3. Learning Objective 2 ACCT-BVPM-2. Students will implement interpersonal skills while interacting with colleagues in the broadcast/video production workplace. a. Observe and evaluate interpersonal skills in the workplace and/or classroom. b. Show appropriate communication skills when dealing with others. c. Analyze situations of appropriate and inappropriate interactions with colleagues. d. Use interpersonal skills in the broadcast/video production workplace and/or classroom.

  4. Learning Objective 3 ACCT-BVPM-3. Students will use specified industry standard processes throughout the broadcast/video production management experience. a. Observe individual responsibilities in the workplace. b. Complete assigned tasks during the internship experience.

  5. Learning Objective 4 ACCT-BVPM-4. Students will demonstrate dependability as an employability trait in the broadcasting and video production workplace. a. Observe and evaluate the importance of worker dependability to employers in the workplace and/or classroom. b. Observe how dependability affects the work environment. c. Show dependability as a worker.

  6. Smart Start • Sit in your assigned seat • Student assistant will pull up the video of the day • We will watch the video of the day as a class

  7. What we’re working on: • The Morning Announcements • (daily news show production) • iPatch TV • (weekly premier show) • Individual projects • (music videos, news packages, entertainment features) • Custom productions for Shaw, MCSD and community organizations

  8. Timeline: • The Morning Announcements are produced each day – 1 hr. • iPatch TV – 1 week • Individual projects – 1 week

  9. Learning Steps 1 – Brainstorm 2 – Write 3 – Shoot 4 – Edit 5 – Get your package to AIR, on time and error free

  10. Learning Assessment • Projects must be ON TIME • Projects must AIR • The BVP Apps./Mgmt. Project Rubric will be used to assess each video project • The BVP Employability Rubric will be used to assess each student’s employability grade

  11. HOMEWORK • Complete Keytrain assignments • Shoot outside video assignments as needed/assigned • Edit after class to meet deadlines if needed
