This week's newsletter includes important announcements and upcoming events. The library is open daily for AR reading from 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM. Please assist your child during testing. Note that TAKS testing is on April 27-30, and lunch visits are discouraged. Join us for Chik-Fil-A night on April 21 and the Kindergarten field trip to the Shrine Circus on April 22. Remember, nightly reading is our primary homework, and other tasks should take only 10-15 minutes. We will learn about Earth Day and the importance of caring for our planet.

Weekly Newsletter Apr. 19th – Apr. 23rd AnnouncementsThe library is opened daily for AR in the morning from 7:15 until school begins at 7:45. Parents may come in to help their child with AR reading and testing. Parents, please make sure your child is staying by you to answer test questions. Apr. 27,28,29,30 – TAKS testing days. We ask that you do not come to eat lunch with your child on those days. Thank you for your help. Weds., Apr. 21st – Chik-Fil-A night Thurs., Apr. 22nd – Kindergarten Field trip to the Shrine Circus at the fairgrounds. Fill out and return the permission page ASAP if you have not already done so. See attached letter. Sat., April 24th – Second Grade garage sale fundraiser. Homework Our primary homework is for children to be read to EVERY night. Other homework should take 10 -15 minutes to complete. Mon., Apr. 19th --- Review spelling list Tues., Apr., 20th --- Bring a rock of some sort to school (nothing valuable, please) Wed., Apr. 21st --- Get ready for tomorrow’s field trip. Wear your class t-shirt. Thurs., Apr. 22nd --- Write spelling words 3 times (on back of spelling list). Test tomorrow. *** LEARN TO TIE YOUR SHOES! Circus! Be sure to wear your class T-Shirt and comfortable shoes. If you are bringing your lunch from home, don’t forget to put it in a labeledpaper bag and mark your drink. No library due to the Book Fair. Social Studies/Science Focus This week, we will learn about the importance of taking care of our earth and its resources as well as observing Earth Day on Weds. We will also be discussing the Circus environment.
