  6. What does Convection mean?

  7. CONVECTION is heat transfer by the movement of hot air in the oven. • The heat element in the oven heats up and the fan at the back of the oven moves the hot are around. • Hot Air rises through the food and cooks it • At the top of the oven it cools and falls again to be heated up by the element and the process starts again. • In an oven, the heated air cooks the food.

  9. CONDUCTION is heat transfer within solids or between contacting solids.

  10. RADIATION is heat transfer by electromagnetic waves.
