The International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement (INECE) is a global network of over 2,500 members from more than 100 countries. Established in 1997, INECE aims to raise awareness about environmental compliance and enforcement, develop networks, and enhance institutional capacity. Its structure includes an Executive and Planning Committee, Secretariat in Washington, D.C., and various regional networks. INECE organizes international conferences, forums, and networks, focusing on topics like water, logging, and wildlife enforcement. It also produces newsletters and conducts projects related to compliance indicators and emission trading. Key supporters include the Dutch Ministry (VROM), US EPA, UNEP, World Bank, and OECD.
