Shuratic Model of Leadership Darwish Almoharby
‘In This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.’ (Almaidah, 3) • ‘One day we shall raise from all peoples a witness against them, from amongst themselves, and we shall bring thee as a witness against these (thy people) as we have sent down to thee the book explaining all things, a guide, a mercy , and glad tidings to Muslims.’ (Alnahil, 89)
‘And so judge you (O Mohammed) among them by what Allah has revealed and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they turn you (O Mohammed) far away from some of that which Allah has sent down to you. And if they turn away, then know that Allah’s Will is to punish them for some sins of theirs. (Almaidah, 49). And by the Mercy of Allâh, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allâh's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allâh, certainly, Allâh loves those who put their trust (in Him)(Alomran, 159)
