Internet2 continues to evolve as a not-for-profit organization, uniting 220 U.S. universities, 60 corporations, and numerous government agencies and educational networks. With a focus on world-class network technology, Internet2 provides service offerings (Net+) that include federated identity management through InCommon, and access to third-party vendor services. Recent updates highlight the general availability of services like Box.com and Duo Security, along with future offerings in progress. Collaborations aim to prioritize these services on campuses, ensuring streamlined access and support for education and research.

Net+ Program Offer set of services from third-party vendors Federated authentication and authorization services available through InCommon Direct network connections to Internet2 (through CENIC) HIPAA/FERPA agreements for some services Reduced fees Waive ingress/egress fees for some services Leverage the power of much of higher education
Net+ Service Phases Net+ services follow a testing and evaluation process prior to general availability. A number of services are currently in the “pipeline”
