  2. Presentation of me • Father of three. • Don't spend a lot of time getting cleverer - Would like to increase that time. Maybe a project or study group would be a good start. • So here I throw a few balls in the air, which might start something...

  3. The balls • One idea followed another... • It would be great to have an application where race results are stored and statistics made (great for me as a runner ). - "But what's news?" • It would be great the app could contact the participants of the race to get a confirmation if they were the ones who participated.

  4. "Why would that be so great?" • If the participant had not registered in the app, then the app could try to contact the participant and ask him to register.- "More details please..." • It is interesting if an app can contact a user it only knows by name.

  5. "Isn't that called spam?" • Well yes, but in this case people have said yes to spam. • "What do you mean?" • In Facebook people subscribe to apps. The apps then contact the subscribers once in a while. There are probably a whole lot of places and technologies which in this way allow apps to contact people.

  6. "Ok, but why would any subscribe to this spam app?" • We'll the Facebook segment love to expose their interests. When the apps are interest specific, then they would also like to subscribe.

  7. "Why the name World White Pages?" • Well there could be a layer between the race app (from the first slide) and Facebook. This layer could connect to several social network services in order to get in contact with users. • Likewise there could be a World Yellow Pages to get in contact with groups and and companies.
