Second Meeting of the Inter-American Committee on Aquatic Animal Health, Vancouver 2007

From June 18-22, 2007, the second meeting of the Inter-American Committee on Aquatic Animal Health was held in Vancouver, Canada. This pivotal gathering focused on forming technical working groups for managing aquatic animal health issues. Notable achievements included the development of action plans and the organization of the International Forum on Infectious Myonecrosis Virus (IMNV) in shrimp farming, which took place in Managua, Nicaragua in August 2006. A questionnaire for member countries was also suggested to enhance collaboration and address challenges.
