  2. Requirements Location: Forest Object: Musical instrument (guitar) Quote: “This isn’t a game”

  3. Logistics Genre – Thriller Audience – 15+ Travel – Asfordby, Syston, possibly Melton plus forest near Rothley Shooting schedule – Starting next week All shooting on location (no sets) Filming on public ground Health and safety – Filming at night (need light, danger of hidden objects) rivers, equipment, cars

  4. Directing Slow pace will be established to build up to the denouement. Then gradually pick up pace with the two characters until the dramatic climax. Editing and camera important areas to do this. Joey and Frankie are two of the people we have in mind for acting. A female voice plays a big part in the film so we will need to find someone for that. The film will probably be around five minutes.

  5. Brief Outline of Short Film In a post apocalyptic world one man struggles to survive through the silence and loneliness. His guitar is the only object which stands between sanity and insanity. Not long into the film a second character is introduced and the film focuses on the connection between the two.

  6. Camera Introduction: Long shots and wide shots to show the deserted landscape in post apocalyptic world. Main section: More close ups in the forest to focus on the characters and their dialogue and actions.

  7. Editing The editing for The Riff will be slow paced in the beginning to establish the setting and the mood of the post apocalyptic world. Later on in the film there will be quicker cuts to show the character loosing his sanity as well as showing the connection between him and the other character.
