  12. Generating Targets • We use Fischer Family Trust (FFT) to generate targets. • Based on performance at Key Stage Two. • We create two targets: • Minimum target grade (MTG) • Aspirational target grade (ATG)

  18. Why do we run Work Experience? • Provide a first experience of work. • To develop confidence and responsibility in students. • To help students get a feel for the work place and the skills they need. • To allow students to gain experience ready for applying to jobs/courses in the futurre. • As part of the EdExcel Level 2 BTEC WorkSkills programme.

  19. Placements 2 Options: Option 1 – Organise a Self Placement. (Deadline for this is 21st November 2012) Option 2 – Have a placement based on your interests from a job bank.

  20. The process Work experience assembly. Self placement advice. Tutorial for applications to Changing Education. School Website. Placements. Teachers will visit placements. Evaluation. Debrief.

  21. Practicalities for today… • If you have an employer in mind collect a self placement form from school today or from your child after the next assembly. • Return the form to school before the 21st November so we can risk assess the businesses. • NB: Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Work Experience are running in the same week. If your child is involved in DoE it is highly advisable to arrange a self placement for the 3 days they are not on the expedition. Or if possible an extra day over the weekend of the Work Experience period.
