  2. What is Influencer Marketing • Influencer marketing is a mix of traditional and innovative marketing techniques. It incorporates the concept of celebrity endorsement with a content-driven marketing campaign in the current day. Influencer marketing is distinguished by the fact that the campaign's outcomes are collaborations between businesses and influencers. Influencer marketing, on the other hand, isn't limited to celebrities. Instead, it's focused on influencers, many of whom would never consider themselves famous in a conventional sense.

  3. Is it really new? • For starters, influencers are basically famous people who are followed by tons of people and are believed to be a genuine, authentic, and credible source of information. Doesn’t it seem somewhat similar to celebrities on a small scale? • Let’s take a simple Ad campaign for Lux by Shahrukh Khan back in the 2000’s, people were so excited seeing Shahrukh Khan for the Ad and trusted Lux to be a valuable product and began using the product. Which brings us to the main picture, Influencer Marketing isn’t completely new in any way. It is a derivative of celebrity endorsements that is done from a long time. But what makes it standout? • The primary difference lies in the fact that celebrities are admired by millions & trillions whereas an influencer is a fragment of a celebrity, who is followed & admired by hundreds of thousands of people who share the same interest as that of the influencer. In simple terms, an Influencer is a small-scale celebrity who inspires a particular niche.
