  2. EL RENACIMIENTO • Renacimiento, periodo de la historia europea caracterizado por un renovado interés por el pasado grecorromano clásico y especialmente por su arte. El renacimiento comenzó en Italia en el siglo XIV y se difundió por el resto de Europa durante los siglos XV y XVI.

  3. ARQUITECTURA RENACENTISTA Catedral de Florencia La obra cumbre de Brunelleschi fue el proyecto y construcción de la cúpula de la catedral de Florencia (1420-1436). Sus bellas proporciones y su novedoso sistema estructural están inspirados en la arquitectura de la antigua Roma. Es una de las imágenes ineludibles del renacimiento italiano

EDAD MODERNA • Edad moderna, periodo histórico que, según la tradición historiográfica europea y occidental, se enmarca entre la edad media y la edad contemporánea. • El concepto responde a una concepción optimista y lineal de la historia y a una visión eurocentrista del mundo y del desarrollo histórico • Concepto ampliamente cuestionado por historiadores del siglo XX.
