Facts of Street Racing • This is a little note for those who may not be familiar with the concept of street racing. In short street racing consists of usually two or sometimes three cars lining up evenly and racing on contest of speed and acceleration on streets. There is usually a flagger who lines up the cars as evenly as possible and flags them to take off. Sometimes the flagging may be done by honking the horn three times at which time both cars take off on the third honk. As you may have figured it out by now street racing is very much illegal. There can be many illegal cases connected to it including but not limited to exhibition of acceleration, speeding, and vehicular endangerment. 97’ JDM Acura Integra Type R

Import Nights • Street racing goes on every night of the week and it happens anywhere you can think of. The more serious ones however take place on abandoned streets late at night, usually on the weekends and Wednesday nights. One night of street racing can draw hundreds of cars around the near vicinities of these streets. Usually they are the same people that show up every week; it's a sort of "street racing community" if you will. This particular picture shows the classic setup for street racing-two cars lined up on an empty at night with a flagger in the middle.

Local Street Racing A lot of street racers in the Fayetteville area use the Drag strip by the Crown Coliseum whereas there are illegal spots where they race also. I won’t give any of them away though.
