Why? • GA House Bill 186 • Georgia wants its students to graduate more prepared for workforce/college • Considered beneficial use of electives • Potential for 14 to 16 electives • Provides credentialing opportunities

FCHS Work Based Learning (WBL) • Student placement in paid or unpaid positions • 11th or 12th Grade (min. age 16) • Defined career goal • Completed one CTAE course • Good attendance and discipline record • Recommendations from teachers • Reliable transportation and insurance • Must apply year before with Ms. DuBois • Usually two blocks per semester
