  2. Geog raphy Egypt is hot and warm so you might want to come here during Winter seasons. Egypt has two kind of land. Near Nile River =Rich and fertile soil. Near Sahara Desert =Red and dry soil. So, what you should pack to come Egypt 1.cool T-shirts 2.Slippers 3.Shorts

  3. Social There is a big gap between Pharaoh and slaves. The lowest one is the slaves, of course, and then farmers which still is lowest but has more free time, then craft workers or scribes, then nobles and priests. Finally the last one is Pharaoh, the king. Man is more powerful then woman. If you have more jewelry and make-up, it means your more rich. .

  4. Political Last Pharaoh=Cleopatra First woman pharaoh =Hatshepsut Most Famous Pharaoh =Tutankhamen Come to Egypt if your child is one of the kids who don’t know much about Egypt. You can test them by asking those questions. Do you know what mummy is? Why King Tut is famous? Who was Cleopatra? ANSWER KEY(No cheating!) 1.It is preserved dead bodies made by Egyptians. 2. Because King Tut’s pyramid was full of gold. 3. Cleopatra is the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.

  5. Intellect Egyptians invented many things you use. Writings, wheels, clocks and even calendars! Well, our writings are a bit different then yours. Our is called hieroglyphs. Scribes learn hieroglyphics in scribe school, and become scribes. We are good at geometric, and math. We have different ways to solve math problems. You can visit the math museum of Egypt and see our math.

  6. Culture Most of the Egyptians are polytheism. But some of the pharaohs tried to change them in to monotheism. Those are the gods that Egyptians believe in. Bastet-goddess of cats Anubis- god of embalming Hathor- goddess of love Thoth- god of writing Sobek-god of Nile Horus-god of the sky We usually eat crops that we grew. We believe in after life so we make death body to a mummy.

  7. Economy In Ancient Egypt, we don't have any money like you do. We usually trade. In trading, gold, jewelry, and salt is important. Those three costs a lot of things. Many inventions that we made is also important at trading. We also trade slaves. We give someone bunch of slaves and they give us another thing that is same worth. You can bring some salt or jewelry to trade things with people here.

Glossary • Pharaoh-A ruler of Ancient Egypt • Mummy-A preserved body • Hieroglyphics-A writing system in which symbols or pictures stand for ideas, object, or sound. • Monotheism-A person who believes one god • Polytheism- A person who believes many gods. • Afterlife- Life after death • Papyrus-A paper-like material used by Ancient Egyptians. • Pyramid-A burial place for the dead, often for a dead ruler.

Fun activity • Making papyrus What you need: Some brown paper, Wheat powder glue(You just mix some wheat powder in to water) • First, You put a brown paper and then put some wheat powder glue. • Then, you put one more paper and put the glue again. • You do this process on and on till it’s thick enough. • Finally, you let it dry and write on it.
