  7. MUSTN’T MINIMIZE OBEDIENCE: THE UNSAVED Romans 2:8-But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

  8. MUSTN’T MINIMIZE OBEDIENCE: THE UNSAVED I Peter 4:17- For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

  9. MUSTN’T MINIMIZE OBEDIENCE: THE UNSAVED II Thess. 1:8-9-He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power

  10. MUSTN’T MINIMIZE OBEDIENCE John 3:36-“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

  11. The grace of God does not excuse disobedience in the unbeliever!

  13. MUSTN’T MINIMIZE OBEDIENCE: THE SAVED Romans 6:17-18-But thanks be to God that though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness

MUSTN’T MINIMIZE OBEDIENCE: THE SAVED Romans 6:16-Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey-whether you are slaves to sin which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness. You are a slave to the one whom you obey.

  15. MUSTN’T MINIMIZE OBEDIENCE: THE SAVED Phil. 2:12-Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed-not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence-continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

  17. GRACEFUL LIVING… • Isn’t wishing merely to affirm truth • Is wishing to hear how / what to obey

  18. GRACEFUL LIVING… • Isn’t relegating obedience to a feel-good option • Is determining to obey Christ however I feel

  19. GRACEFUL LIVING… • Isn’t trusting one’s obedience for his salvation • Is trusting God’s grace as I try to obey Him

  20. GRACEFUL LIVING… • Isn’t fearing I haven’t done enough to be saved • Is afear-free heart while not obeying perfectly
