Beginning: 1 1: Answer is incorrect • Student provides no response • Student says “I don’t know” • Student response is partially correct
Developing: 2 2: Answer is correct, but: • Student struggles to produce response • Student requires an extensive amount of time to respond • Student obviously has difficulty producing response
Fluent: 3 3: Answer is correct • Student provides correct response in a reasonable amount of time • Student provides correct response without struggle
Scoring • 1: Answer is incorrect • Student provides no response • Student says “I don’t know” • Student response is only partially correct • 2: Answer is correct, but: • Student struggles to produce response • Student requires an extensive amount of time to respond • Student obviously has difficulty producing response • 3: Answer is correct • Student provides correct response in a reasonable amount of time • Student provides correct response without struggle If in doubt, use your best judgment!
